Prowine 10th Anniversary Celebration

To celebrate Prowine’s 10 year anniversary – one of our most important milestones, we hosted a unique celebration at our bottling hall on Wednesday 22nd October 2014.

 

The chosen concept was a casino tournament, where our guests could enjoy a realistic casino experience. We arranged professional, experienced croupiers to host three tables – BlackJack, Poker, and Roulette plus live music by local, Kym Schutz and of course, amazing gourmet finger food and some fine wines to compliment the afternoon.

Guests enjoyed:

Starters:
Fresh Oysters w seaweed salad & wasabi mayonnaise.
Truffled Cauliflower soup – chilled
Mains:
Frenched Lamb Cutlets with baharat spices
Duck & Veal Chipolattas
Chimmichurri Prawns
Turkish Chicken Thighs
The feast finished with Cheese & Fruits Board , Individual Chocolate Orange Grenache Tarts and Lemon Curd & Italian Meringue Tarts as desserts.

 

On arrival, our guests were given $2000 worth of Prowine ‘money’ to exchange for casino chips to participate in the tournament which was started at 1pm.

 

 

Each game on each table went for seven hands or spins, so our guest would have enough time to make as much as they could with the starting $2000. At the end of each game, the croupier then recorded the names of the biggest scorers. At last, the 6 top scorers across the tables on the day entered the GRAND FINAL for a Show Down. Tim Adams, Trevor Jones, Matt Fitzpatrick (Hentley Farm), Richard Langford (Elderton Wines), Nathan Burley (Ringland Vintners) and Samantha from Wine Vintners battled it out in the final Blackjack showdown with Trevor Jones winning the Trophy!

Trevor not only walked away with the Prowine Casino Trophy but also a dinner for 2 at Hentley Farm Restaurant valued at approx $500.00 kindly donated by Hentley Farm / Keith Hentschke.  Congratulations again Trevor and enjoy a great meal at Hentley Farm! We hope everyone had a great time with us at the celebration and thank you for taking time out to attend! That means a lot to Prowine.

A special thanks to Rick Burge who brought along a bottle of wine from our very first bottling run back in 2004 – his Burge Family Winemakers 2003 Dry Grown Garnacha. Amazing wine, well aged and drank perfectly.

We would like to again thank every staff member and customer for their support in the past 10 years. Prowine will continue to grow and improve to deliver the best bottling and packaging service to the wine industry in South Australia. We will see you soon again at our next milestone!
